General Information

Do the cards come with envelopes?

We provide free premium quality 100gsm envelopes for every card with all Irish orders.

What type of paper do you use?

Sleepymoon Cards use premium heavy weight 340gsm matte stock card.

Are your cards made and produced in Ireland?

All of our design, production and printing are carried out exclusively in Ireland.

Do you offer samples?

Unfortunately, we do not offer personalised samples but we can mail out a generic sample to show the quality of our cards. Also, you get a free online preview once your order has been placed.

How can I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched, we can provide you with An Post courier details and your tracking number. Please email us at to request this information.


Is there a minimum amount of cards that I have to purchase?

All of our products have a minimum order of 10 cards.

What’s the largest order you can handle?

You may order up to 250 cards on our site currently.

What does my card purchase include?

  • Printing on premium 340 gsm heavy weight matte stock card

  • Fast free delivery within the Ireland (within 3-5 working days)
  • Free online preview

Can I preview my card online before I order?

We offer a free online preview, which allows you to check that all your information is correct. Please note we cannot process your order until you have checked and agreed that all information is correct. Sleepymoon Cards does not take responsibility for any mistakes with spelling, dates or any other information that has been edited by the customer.

How long will it take my order to arrive?

Once your order has been processed after receipt of payment, you will receive your cards within 3-5 working days. Please note an order confirmation email will be sent to you once your order has been successfully processed.

What can I do if I want to cancel or amend my order?

As our website has an automated ordering process once the order has been confirmed we cannot cancel it. If you would like to make an amendment to your card, please email us as soon as you have ordered so we can amend what you would like. If the order has already gone to print unfortunately these amends cannot be made.

Am I able to re-order more cards?

Yes, please login to your account and go to the balloon at the top of the page called ‘track and re-order’. Here you can order the cards that you previously purchased and change the quantity if needed (10-250 in quantity).

What happens if I am not happy with the quality of my cards?

If for some reason you are unhappy with the quality of your cards please email us at outlining the issue/s.

If agreed by both parties that the delivered product does not match the confirmed order we will either reprint the cards for free or provide a full refund on receipt of the cards and envelopes to our office.

Please note that the responsibility of any uploaded photo/s lies with the customer. The customer must approve their card via a checklist before they can proceed to checkout. Sleepymoon Cards does not contact a customer regarding the quality of their photo; this is solely the customer’s responsibility. Sleepymoon Cards takes responsibility for the print of their design not the customer’s photo.

Sleepymoon Cards does not take responsibility for any mistakes with spelling, dates or any other information that has been edited by the customer. If you approve a proof that has missing or wrong information, capitalisation or spelling mistakes or typos, we will not provide a refund. Therefore, it's very important to review your proof carefully prior to approval and purchase.

What happens if my cards have been damaged on transit?

If your cards have been somehow damaged on transit (and after receipt of a photo via email) we will offer the following choice:
  • Reprint the cards free of charge
  • Full refund on receipt of the returned goods

Please note that Sleepymoon Cards does not take responsibility for the quality of a customer’s photo/s. Whilst we can change certain qualities of the photo such as red eye we cannot change the quality of a photo.

What photo formats do you accept?

We accept the following formats for any uploaded photo: JPG, GIF or PNG.

How do I upload my photo onto a card design?

Click on the upload photo tab, then the choose file tab to locate files stored on your computer. Click on the file you would like to upload. Uploading times vary according to broadband speed and the size of the file.

How do I swap or delete a photo?

If you click on the ‘change photo’ tab you can upload another photo. Using the drop down menu on ‘change photo’ you can also remove your photo.

Can I use a photo taken on my mobile phone?

Mobile phone photography can be very hit and miss and we would recommend using a digital camera to take the shot for a better quality result.

What size file do you accept?

Our system accepts any photo size over 500KB and up to 10MB. The system doesn’t allow any photo with a size less than 500KB as the quality of the print would be too poor. When uploading a photo, our system will tell you if the photo size is too small so please try an alternative photo.

What kind of picture resolution is required?

Always select the highest resolution and largest file that your camera will support. The uploaded photo needs to be have a resolution of no less than 300dpi. Photos taken in low resolution on the camera means there are fewer pixels per inch (less photo per inch). Whilst you may not be able to tell looking at the photo on your computer, it will be printed with fewer pixels (or photo) per inch and the output will be very noticeable and fuzzy.

How can I tell what size and type my photo is?

*Using Windows: Right click on the file and go to properties. Next, a window will open with two tabs at the top ‘general’ and ‘summary’. The ‘general’ tab is displayed and you can view what type of file the photo is.
*Using Mac OS: Click and highlight the photo file. Go to ‘file’ at the top of your screen and go down to ‘get info’. Once you have clicked on that, a box will appear with all the details of the photo. Look under ‘more info’ for dimensions (which should be in the range of 1500 x 2100 pixels).

Can I send you the photos that I want to use with my card via mail?

No, unfortunately we do not accept physical photos – only the digital version.

Guidelines & Personalising Your Card

How do I personalise my chosen card?

Our simple to use online ordering system makes it easy to personalise and preview your card before completing your order to ensure that everything is flawless:
  1. Click on personalise to customise the card you love.
  2. Upload your photo and personalise the text on the front of your card by clicking on the text boxes and customise with your own information.
  3. Edit the text on the inside of your card using similar text boxes as the front.
  4. Zoom tools allow you to zoom in and out of your photo.
  5. Please make sure all your details are correct and there are no spelling mistakes.
  6. Once you have checked your photo and details are perfect, click on the ‘next’ button you will be brought to the card approval page to approve your card. Card panels allow you to preview the front, inside and back of your card. Please note that if you are personalising an invitation, you will see the front and back.
  7. Once you have added your card to your cart you can choose the quantity of cards you would like to purchase. In your cart you can also preview your card to triple check all your details are correct! And if you decide that you do not want to purchase that particular card you can also remove it from your cart.
  8. Click on ‘proceed to purchase’ and you will be brought to our merchant PayPal, where you will complete your payment.
  9. After the completion of the payment process through PayPal, you will be brought back to where you will see a confirmation message of your order.

Can I change my colour photo to black and white?

Yes, once you have uploaded your photo a dropdown box will appear. Click on the drop down menu where it says colour and you can change your photo to either black and white or sepia. Please note that if you are using the black and white option please do not use a photo that is too dark as it becomes even darker when changed to black and white and therefore does not print well.

How do I make sure that my photo will print well?

Firstly, make sure that the photo you select is not too small a file size for the card you choose as it can result in a grainy or pixilated final product. Trying to resize the photo may distort the image quality. Since the overall appearance of your card is highly dependent on the quality of your photographs, it is important to use clear, original and unedited photos. If you have a larger version of a photo, or if you have another snapshot that would be more suitable, please use that photo instead. We recommend photo file sizes between 500KB and 10MB.

Why is my photo taking time to upload?

Possible reasons for a slow upload could be the file size of your photo may be too large, your broadband speed too slow or you need to update your browser. Please see below in our technical section what browsers and operating systems we support.

How can I position my photo correctly once it is uploaded?

You can move your photo up, down, left or right if you hover over your photo with the mouse and drag your photo to the position required. Please note we advise uploading a photo that is similar shape to the photo frame on your chosen card, so there is not too much cropping of your photo. You may zoom in and out using the zoom tools.

How do I insert Fada’s?

*Please note that some of our ‘script like’ fonts are not compatible with fadas. If you are getting a question mark instead of a fada please email us and we will email you a proof after your order has been placed.

Inserting fada’s using Internet Explorer on a PC:
Hold down the ALT and Gr keys together and then press the letter you want. If that doesn’t work for you make sure you have the correct language set in your operating system by clicking on Windows: Control Panel -> Regional and Language Settings/Options.

Inserting fada’s using Safari, Chrome or Firefox on a MAC:
Hold down the ALT key and then press the letter you want.

Designer Assistance

Sleepymoon Cards offers free designer assistance to all of our customers upon request. Designer assistance includes the following and must be requested by email prior to print:
  1. Removal of red eye
  2. Photo re-touching if required
  3. Colour correcting
Please note all orders are reviewed carefully to ensure your design looks its best before your cards are printed. PLEASE NOTE: The photo quality is the customer’s responsibility not the responsibility of Sleepymoon Cards. Please also note that Sleepymoon Cards do not offer the service of re-designs. We can make small tweaks to the cards but no redesigns. If we have any questions regarding your order, a designer will contact you via the email address you provided at checkout. Please email with any of your design queries.


What payment methods do you accept?

Our merchant PayPal accepts the following cards: Visa (credit and debit cards) and MasterCard.

When paying for my order, can you guarantee that my details and information are safe?

Payment is done through PayPal who specialise in the processing of online transactions. Orders are processed through their highly secure payment system and all information is encrypted.

Can you accept payment over the phone?

No, we cannot accept payment over the phone because we use a separate payment gateway PayPal. For security reasons they will not allow us to take any payment over the phone, it is to protect both you the customer and Sleepymoon Cards.

Who will be billing me for my order?

Sleepymoon Cards will appear as the debit name on your credit/laser card statement.

Does the price include VAT?

All prices are inclusive of VAT at the standard rate.


How much do you charge for delivery?

Delivery within Ireland is free. Please note that An Post courier services will deliver your cards.

When can I expect delivery of my cards?

Sleepymoon Cards delivers within 3-5 working days.

Do you ship internationally?

Sleepymoon Cards ships within Ireland and the U.K only at this time.

How do I track my order?

If you have not received your order please let us know and we will email you your tracking number and relevant details.

Technical Questions

What browsers do you support?

Browsers that we support: Safari 5.7 or higher Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox Internet Explorer 9 or higher Please Note: There can be issues with file uploads in Safari 5.1, so we recommend using Firefox or Chrome on Mac, in Mac OS 10.6

What operating systems do you support?

Windows 9 Mac OS A customer using an outdated browser will experience difficulty with personalising a card or previewing their card.

Trouble Shooting

I am getting a warning message that my photo is too small and may appear blurry.

The system is giving you this message to warn you that your photo file size is too small and your printed cards may appear blurry. We recommend using a photo file size between 500KB and 10MB so please find an alternate photo with a file size within this range.

When I am personalising my card the text seems off center.

If you are using an outdated browser you may experience problems with personalising your card. We advise customers to update their browsers to the latest version to avoid such problems. Please see all browsers above that we support. Please note Sleepymoon designer checks all cards and ensures that text is centered.

My photo won’t upload or is taking too long to upload.

Possible reasons for a slow upload could be the file size of your photo may be too large, your broadband speed too slow or you need to update your browser. Please see above in our technical section what browsers and operating systems we support.

Can you send me one sample?

Unfortunately we do not print one off personalised samples, as our lowest print run is 10 cards.

How do I go about re-ordering more of my cards?

Where are my cards and how do I track my order?

Do you do baby thank you cards in postcard form?

All of the cards in the 'baby thank you' section are folded and all of the cards in the 'birth announcement' section are postcard. You can change the majority of the text on the birth announcements to say thank you if you would prefer a postcard.
